The HMIS at Vatebra was a critical system — used for patient data management and clinical reporting across healthcare facilities. The core product was solid. The problem was delivery: releases took weeks, bugs accumulated between cycles, and compliance sign-offs were a manual bottleneck that no one had formally addressed.
The longest release cycle I inherited was 11 weeks. Every week of delay was a week of accumulated risk in a clinical context.
